Video calls:
-
It’s okay if you’re wearing pyjamas, have no makeup on, are in a messy room, etc.
-
Only my device and your device can join a PB call. If helpful, I could set up a video call in Google Meet (free app) so that up to 100 devices can join it.
Different ways to share a file with me:
-
Open it and describe it to me.
-
Open it during a video call and click on “Share screen” so that I can see it and maybe take a screenshot image of it.
-
Open it on a different device (e.g. phone) and then show this device to me in front of your main device’s screen during a video call.
-
Share its link with me (if the file is in a website).
-
Put it in the PB Documents – “My Uploads” section.
-
Send it to me by email (regular or encrypted – e.g. MailHippo), online fax (e.g. SRFax), phone text, or Facebook or Instagram message.
-
Share it with me through a file storage website like Google Drive.
Different ways to provide me with information about an item:
-
Describe it to me.
-
Hold it in front of your device’s screen during a video call so that I can see it and maybe take a screenshot image of it.
-
If the item looks unclear to me, you can take a photo of it with a different device (e.g. phone), zoom in, and then hold this device in front of your main device’s screen.
-
-
Scan or take a photo of it and then share this file with me.
-
Mail it to me and ask me to check my mailbox.
-
Fax it to me.
-
Type its information and send it by PB Chat, email, phone text, or Facebook or Instagram message.
-
Possibly give it to me at or near Westmount Mall.
Printing:
-
If you want to, you can print a file on a home printer or at print shops (e.g. Staples or London Drugs), UPS stores, some libraries/schools/hotels, or certain workplaces.
-
I do not mail printouts to clients.
File formats:
If you use app(s) that produce:
-
CSV, JSON, or XML files – we could convert them into spreadsheet files.
-
Zip files (contains PDF or other files) – we can move the inner files into a regular folder.
Accounts:
If needed, I can create an email account for you or use one of my email accounts. I can then use it to create other accounts (e.g. in apps).
Apps:
-
To discuss an app:
-
One/both of us could open it. We could share an account or use separate accounts.
-
You or I could show or “share” a screen during a video call.
-
You could export your data as files and share them with me.
-
-
If needed, I can use app data to calculate values (e.g. nutrition intake per day) in a spreadsheet.
-
I do not have an official relationship with any app owners (e.g. I don’t work for them).
